China/Gansu: "malatang" boosts restaurant and tourism development in Tianhsui
After Zibo, in the eastern province of Shandong, and Harbin, in the northeastern province of Liaoning, the city of Tianshui, in the northwestern province of Gansu, has become the latest destination to generate national enthusiasm thanks to its signature dish: "malatang", a local street food consisting of a mixture of fresh vegetables and/or meat boiled in a hot, spicy broth. Many tourists have recently flocked to the city to sample Tianshui's famous "malatang".
